Why would modern scholars have interest in an ancient system of #medical #treatments that one expert calls “completely bonkers”? Because it tells us about the development of medical understanding and how ancient physicians treated their patients. A newly discovered text of the 2nd century #Greek physician #Galen is considered very important as it is expected to provide previously unknown information about how the practice of medicine developed and spread.
