The plant is called locally ogilisi. The leaves when boiled and used in bathing have significant reduction in cases of hyperhidrosis. It is of value in esoteric science hence being used in some anti-witchcraft preparations. The plant is a sacred plant in Igboland ascribed with a lot of mystical values.
