One of the only things I'd like to point out is it doesn't technically absorb the molecules in heavy metals but it does coat them so they can't interact with other molecules.
It also only does this in direct contact with them so if you say, accidently drank mercury, and are suffering from heavy metal poisoning baking soda won't be all that helpful.
The rest is pretty much spot on, I even keep some in my camping bag as backup toothpaste.
