Broccoli for breathing
Our life expectance is directly proportional to our lung capacity. For the majority of people living in or near metropolitan areas, traffic, and secondhand smoke vastly accelerate the loss of breathing capacity and increases the incidence of lung cancer.
Anti-oxidant-rich vegetables and fruits such as broccoli and apples mitigate these effects. Studies show that the antioxidant isothiocyanates in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli substantially reduce lung cancer risk.
